Not Your Average Conference: DWEN June 2012 – New Delhi

The Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network conference in India was a once in a lifetime experience. In 10 short days I attended a wedding, ate my way through Chandni Chowk market (breaking every rule from my travel doctors within 24hrs of landing in Delhi), explored the Taj Mahal at sunrise, endured a punishing early morning yoga class in the most serene outdoor location one could ever dream of and much much more. Between adventures I networked with some of the most talented and motivated female entrepreneurs from around the globe. This was not your average conference.

Like many conferences, DWEN brings together powerful and inspiring entrepreneurs across industries with investors and business advisers. But the value with this particular event is combining these ingredients with an exotic destination, elements of local culture and group adventures to famed sites like the Taj Mahal, for example. This environment creates a once-in-a-lifetime, shared experience that cultivates friendships and business relationships at lightning speed.

French Riveria for a Fraction of the Price

Great news! If it’s a luxurious french honeymoon you’re after, more and more options are opening up on the Southern Coast of France. Forget Nice, Cannes and St. Tropez (the traditional seaside playground for the rich and famous) and venture west along the Riveria to Cassis (pronounced “ka-see” or “ka-seess”, depending on who you ask), a quick drive from the Marseilles airport. With sun, surf and unspoiled national parks, Cassis is the perfect honeymoon spot for smart brides who want all the perks without the exorbitant prices.

Read on for more information on where to stay and eat, and what to do while you’re there!
